Welcome !

INTRODUCTION
In an era where marriage is in vogue, the general expectation is that it would have meant that the society is gaining a better understanding of the essence of the institution of marriage and families. Unfortunately, many marriages, and most unfortunately, especially Christian marriages, generally do not last beyond two years due to many internal and external factors that plague them.

Today, about more than half of marriages end up in divorce. One of the main problems associated with the break-up of marriages is lack of knowledge about the biblical concept of marriage; God’s idea of marriage, His principles concerning the institution and the fact that He does not intend it to end in divorce.

WHO WE ARE
WARRIOR WIVES PRAYER MINISTRY (WAWPRAM) is a non-denominational, non-profit group of married Christian women who come together, twice a month, on Sundays, with commitment and zeal to pray, seeking God’s favour into their families. We believe that we have discovered the secrets to successful divorce-proof marriages and trouble-free children and the secrets are the weapons called knowledge and prayer. The Bible declares in 2Co 10:4 that “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” This is reflected in our slogan: WARRIOR WIVES! – PRAYER IS OUR WEAPON!

THE INCEPTION
WAWPRAM is a ministry birthed out of prayer and compassion to pray against challenges, in marriages, especially divorce in Christian marriages. At its inception, it started meeting with thirteen wives at the home of Rev. & Mrs. Foster Odoi in 2008 From this humble beginning the numbers became too much for the home and therefore necessitated the need to move to our current meeting place at Adum Presby J. H. S.

WHAT WE DO

Vision
Our vision is to empower women to have and enjoy successful long lasting Christian marriages across the globe

Mission
For WAMPRAM to achieve its vision, a number of activities are organised such as family seminars, retreats, prayer meetings and counselling. In addition, it also propagates God’s agenda concerning marriage on a Kumasi based Fm station - Spirit 88.3 fm on every Friday between the hours of 8pm and 9pm, with Ps. Mrs. Agnes Odoi as its host. Also, some of the marriage teachings of WAWPRAM are aired on Kristo Abusua radio in London. All these programmes and activities are geared towards empowering Christian women to:
  • perform their God-given tasks as helpers to their husbands (Genesis 1: 20b - 25)
  • become good and responsible mothers to both children and husbands (Titus 2:4b)
  • serve their husbands in all humility (Ephesians 5:22, Colossians 3:18)
  • perform their domestic duties as wives ( Genesis 18:6, Proverbs 31:13-23)
  • win their their husbands hearts with good and godly character ( 1 Peter 3:1)
  • waging spiritual battles against the devil to snatch our marriages, husbands, children and businesses through prayer ( 2 Corinthians 10:4)
OUR ASPIRATIONS
We believe that in addition to prayer and good character Christian women need to be financially empowered to take care of their homes. It is in this vein that the ministry plans, in the near future, to establish micro-finance or credit schemes among its members. As part of our aspirations, WAWPRAM wishes to support distressed and extreme poor families and widows as well as orphans. In yielding to the numerous calls from different regions, WAWPRAM aim at extending the ministry to other parts of the country.

TESTIMONIES AND IMPACT ASSESSMENTS
The holistic ministry of WAWPRAM has impacted lots of lives and irrevocably influenced families since its inception. Some of the testimonies and human interest stories which are worthy of sharing as follows:

• It has promoted unity and fellowship among Christian women across denominational boundaries in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

• Through the teachings and activities of WAWPRAM members are Spiritually maturing and becoming self conscious of the need to apply biblical principles to their daily lives and to understand marriage as God’s divine institution.

• Husbands and wives who were separated for many years have been reconciled and are now living happily.
• Husbands and wives have testified to the transformations they are experiencing in their homes.

Through the fervent prayers of WAWPRAM a number of barren women have miraculously given births.
